Sometimes you post something on a blog that causes people some pain.
I guess I did that with my last post about our son, Gary. I apologize to those out there who were troubled by this blog.
I have a lot of regrets in my life but here is one of them.
I did not have any final words for my son. I did not get to say goodbye. My last words to him were something like “see you this afternoon.” Why in the world did I not just say, “Love you, Gar!”
Bottom line? Tell the people you love every chance you get. It is not that hard to say “I love you” especially when you mean it! Your chances to say that are unlimited when people are alive but revert to zero when they are gone!
