One subplot of my new book features the philosophical argument raised by Thorton Wilder in his Pulitzer Prize winning novel, The Bridge of San Luis Rey. Do we live by accident and die by accident, or do we live by plan and die by plan? The blurb on the jacket describes it this way. “When seventeen-year-old Jill Hanson and two of her friends witness a fatal pedestrian accident, Jill sets out to prove that the victim was predestined to suffer that fate.”
Jill has another opportunity to investigate her theory when a teacher in her high school is murdered. She and a small town newspaper reporter approach the murder from different perspectives but with similar objectives. Why do people want the victim of this murder to disappear?
The novel is now available in paperback and eBook on Amazon and in book stores.
