Within the last week, I’ve had some small degree of faith renewed that maybe the Stacey Burns murder has not been relegated to the bottom of the pile of case folders on some beleaguered state policeman’s desk.
A good source tells me that two New Hampshire State Police investigators actually travelled to Wolfeboro very recently for an interview with someone who may or may not have new information on the case.
Regardless of the outcome of this particular interview, can’t we all take some solace in two aspects of this. First, it is encouraging that someone new had the courage to step forward and actually say something, and secondly, that this person had enough to say that it would bring investigators from Concord.
Maybe, hope is not all lost.

This IS good news duke. I speak to the New Hampshire investigators from time to time and they assured me this is still not a cold case. But that being said it’s certainly not tremendously active either. Every time I speak to them they are working on one angle or another.
One of their greatest hopes was that somebody would find the courage to come forward with new information for them to work on. They believe someone knows something and for whatever reason isn’t willing to talk.
Stacey was a gem of a human being and justice must be served.
The evil person that took her life in such a horrific and violent way, stole her away from her five beautiful children, and change the course of history for thousands of people must pay for such selfishness!!!!
Duke, thank you for keeping your ear to the ground on this. I know you want to see justice like we all do .

I hope there is someone with information although I can’t imagine why a person would wait so long. Melonie, I disagree. I think the killers ship has sailed. He’s moved on.
Both AG. Strelzin as well as FBI agent Brad Garrett told us “forensics don’t change but relationships do” If detectives have come to boro to speak with some major players in Stacey’s murder, players who’s relationship has changed, it’s Doug and Mark. these are Ed’s only friends up here and they are the guy’s who drove by Stacey’s house many, many times to report to Ed that my car was in her driveway. Could they have called Ed on the night in question? I have often wondered how Ed knew she was alone. And could one of them have a conscience?
