Just for the record, other than the cold case detective speaking with the editor of the Green Valley News, there is nothing in yesterday’s article that should be a surprise to any of the people mentioned. Anyone who has kept up with my blogs about this subject has heard the whole story before. If there is something mentioned in the article that indicates a trust issue, I surely would like to know what it is.
Duke
Duke, there is absolutely too much for me to say to write it here. Needless to say all day has been nothing but pass the buck and deny deny deny. Sgt. Gilbert, Dan from the paper. No one wants to take responsibility for the accusing tone of the article. As a matter of fact, Sgt. Gilbert completely denied all comments but one and gave you and the editor credit for the rest. Funny the one he admitted to was that he was “comfortable” with Ed Burns story and thought it a “slim chance” that Ed could be a suspect. I then asked if he or anyone had ever interviewed Ed without a lawyer and he said no. In fact, the Sargent has NEVER even interviewed Ed at all. Can you understand my frustration? This is a man’s life here. I was so hoping that you would be the one to get it right for Jim. Now I’m not so sure.
