Well, May 10 has come and gone, signifying seven years of waiting for some degree of justice to be served in the murder of Stacey Burns. What are the odds that nothing is ever going to happen to her killer? If I were a betting person, I would, with a great deal of sadness, have to concede that the odds are in favor of the killer only paying for the crime on his or her eternal judgment day. As I mentioned in an earlier post, the initial roaring fire for justice in this case seems to be dying out, replaced by a few embers that flare up now and then. What a pitiable shame if this is what is happening but evidence surely points in that direction.
Two days ago was the seventh anniversary of Stacey’s death. Two days from now, we will observe the twenty-fourth anniversary of the death of our son at age 29. There is no one to blame for his death unless one wants to blame God, which I’ve been tempted to do on occasion. I often wonder if the person to blame for the death of Stacey Burns will still be walking free when the twenty-fourth anniversary of her death rolls around. To me, and I hope I’m not alone in this, it would be a tragedy beyond words. Imagine another seventeen anniversaries passing by without a resolution. The thought is so repugnant that is should not even be mentioned. However, here’s a thought for those who knew and loved Stacey. If you were told that seven years would pass and still no one would be arrested for this crime, wouldn’t that be equally as repugnant to you?
Rest in peace, our dear son, Gary, and you too, Stacey Burns. You both deserved so much better.

I had a feeling after Strelzin lost that first coustody fight on Tuesday, Eddie could win. He didn’t just think this up, he’s prepared. Then after ‘the incedent’ where he put the gun to his mother head and, remember a state highway was closed as well as 3 town roads, After he was ‘cleared’ for that 2 hr stand off I knew, ‘they’re afraid of him’ he owns Strelzin and co and he may have already won. He had, Ed won this in the first 3 days. Strelzin humored Michael Keane (I doubt Nina was ever fooled) but Stacey’s brother was played and now it’s too late.
The ONLY loss’s suffered by Stacey’s killer was delivered by me. I lured him into charging me with stalking and got a confession under oath that Ed Burns believed that he WAS married to Stacey the day she died. ie: “death before divorce” as well as admitting he was beating the kids the night they ran away to my house.(the very first night they were alone sinse the killing) and the other ‘mistake’ Stacey’s killer made was going on 20/20 where he admitted taking the girls that night was “something to do with his alibi” and his cold sweat that fooled only the foolish. Ed never would have done 20/20 w/o me publicly accusing him. But the biggest mistake anyone made was not listening to Stacey in the biggining. All she wanted was her little Wboro home and her freedom, that 4 day “stick it to the husband “trial was the key to her death. Ed Burns lost that day and Ed Burns doesn’t lose. Jen Haskel beat Eddie, she beat him baddly Stacey paid the price and by the way Walker Varney were the first in line when Stacey’s affairs were setteled so her kids paid that bill. Now that it’s over, and it IS over, my biggest suprise was how easy the ‘family’ fell for Strelzin’s lies. How Strelzin was able to co-op the march and just how everyone fell in line in the hope that answers were comming. Jeff knew how this would end and he played a grieving family like a fiddle.
