No, this is not about the demented killer of Stacey Burns.
A professional editor of my acquaintance suggested that my blog has been unbalanced. Approximately nine out ten posts have addressed my work on Murder in a Small Town: The Tragic Death of Stacey Burns. As regular readers know, the first draft of this book is written except for the “Arrest/Trial/Conviction” chapters. The first few chapters have even gone through a second and third draft and are fairly polished. As regular readers also know, the time, effort, and money spent on this project have so far had no impact on moving this case to a conclusion. The blog posts are designed to keep this case from falling through the cracks of an apparently overloaded major crimes division of the New Hampshire State Police and to keep it in the present tense instead of the rear view mirror as the years flip by.
The point of this post is to let readers know that I’m going to try to be more balanced in the future. In addition to the Stacey Burns case, I have two active projects in the works: a personal memoir about growing up with a “Greatest Generation” domineering father during the forties and fifties and a continuation of the stories of the fictional Josie and Parker Havenot, who made their first appearance in Agent for Justice.
Future posts will continue to dig at the conscience of those involved in solving (or committing) the murder of Stacey Burns. I’ll also try to keep my readers informed of the progress of other writing projects.
Thanks for your patience!
Duke
Duke, I admire your persistence on the Stacey Burns case and think that keeping it in people’s minds is a noble goal. That said, I would also enjoy hearing about your other projects.
