Thanks to all my “fans” regarding my trip to the New Mexico/Arizona Book Awards!
Bad news (sort of) I did not win the grand prize in my division! )-:
Good news (sort of) The book that won in my division also won the best book in all categories for New Mexico so I’m happy to be mentioned in the same group as a finalist.
Bottom line- a great trip to meet a wonderful group of writers and, most importantly, to feel that I was actually one of them!
Another bottom line- A tongue-in-cheek observation from a good friend- “Almost 700 miles in two days- hope it was a great dinner!” Author’s comment- it was and felt blessed to even have the chance to be in such company.
