The revised new edition of A Favor Returned moves closer to publication with the selection of the new jacket cover later today. At this point, the exact release date is yet to be determined.
Here’s one thing I’ve learned in the fourteen years since the original came out in hard cover. It is amazing how far two or three lines of crisp dialogue can move the story along. Dialogue is action, or, at least, it should be. The “show, don’t tell” mantra can be fulfilled through cleverly constructed dialogue. Pros are yawning over this but remember this blog is designed to show one writer’s growth in the craft.
Watch for a specific example in the next “Tale of Two Books.”
